Using traditional methods for the model generation requires expensive equipment and is time consuming. Recently, the CRISPR/Cas technology not only improved the efficiency of genomic manipulations, it also opened up new ways for the delivery of the reagents to the cells. In this book chapter we describe the iGONAD method allowing targeted mouse model production applicable for a wide range of research labs to introduce the desired genomic modifications without the need of special equipment.
