    AnnotationBulk samples of a general stoichiometry Yb2.94Er0.06Fe5–xAlxO12 (x = 0–5) were prepared via Pechini-based polyesterification. With the increasing content of iron, the intensity of emission is comparable with an un-doped sample up to 40 % iron content and then it decreases down to the full loss of erbium 4I13/2 - 4I15/2 energy radiative transition (in the case of 80 and 100 % iron doping).
