Description in English A big subject of the 19th century became the artist himself, his position and social role, his self-appreciation face to face the anonymous public, presentation of artworks in public exhibitions, or the reflection of artistic schooling. The analysis of these phenomena is a crucial part of art historical scholarship. The articles by various researches address these question from various starting points.
