Absorption, radioluminescence (RL), photoluminescence (PL) excitation and emission spectra as well as PL decay of prepared single crystals were evaluated. Temperature dependence of the PL and PL decay were measured in wide temperature range. Scintillation performance was characterized by measuring the light yield and scintillation decay. Analysis of the measured RL and PL data using Gaussian fitting was performed.
