Úvahu otevírá definice pojmu ˵kritické myšleníʺ. Autor se zabývá jeho vývojem od Husa po myslitele 60. let. Zvláštní pozornost věnuje kriticismu T. G. Masaryka a jeho ˵školyʺ, snahám o obnovu marxismu i jejím limitům. Vrchol tohoto vývoje nachází v dramatickém roce 1968 a jeho filosofické reflexi v díle Karla Kosíka. V současnosti spatřuje diskontinuitu a myšlenkovou prázdnotu.

Consideration opens the definition of ˵critical thinkingʺ. The author with his development from Hus to the Thinkers of the 1960s. Special attention is paid to the Criticism of T. G. Masaryk and his ˵schoolʺ, efforts to renewal Marxism and its limits. The peak of this development lies in the dramatic year 1968 and in his philosophical reflection in the work of Karel Kosík. He is currently seeing discontinuity and poverty of ideas.
