AnnotationNovel highly crosslinked styrenic materials exhibiting, high surface area (200 – 600 m2/g) on walls of wide, well accessible pores of mesopore size range (15 -50 nm] have been developed as supports for solid-phase peptide syntheses. Due to their rigid backbone the interior accessibility is independent on swelling and the wide pores assures sterically unhindered reaction environment. Hence, the support can be compatible with wide range of solvents allowing tailoring of the reaction environment according to the needs of the synthesis chemistry without compromises connected with necessity of keeping conventional supports in highly swollen state.
