Ringhofferovy závody jsou vzorovým příkladem rodinného podnikání, které se vyvinulo ze skromných cechovních počátků ve velkou strojírenskou společnost evropského významu. Jeho úspěch byl založen na moderním výrobním programu (výroba strojů na zpracování cukru a vagonů), jakož i na propojení průmyslového podnikání s vlastnictvím půdy. Propojení těchto průmyslových a zemědělských činností utvářelo krajinu a vztahy mezi lidmi v prostoru mezi Prahou a Sázavou.

The Prague F. Ringhoffer Company is a model example of a family business that developed from humble beginnings in the engineering industry into a company of European importance at the end of the 18th century. Its success was based on modern elaborated manufacturing programme (sugar processing machines, wagons) as well as interconnection of industrial entrepreneurship with land ownership. Interconnection of these industrial and agricultural activities shaped the landscape and relations between people in the space east of Prague.
