Cathodoluminescence (CL) is one of the optical properties all minerals have, the special part of research related belongs to natural and synthetic diamonds. CL can be also used to distinguish between natural and synthetic diamonds. Moreover, CL can be used to examine impurities, dopants and defects in diamonds. In this study, the synthetic microdiamonds were used to determine the dependence of CL spectrum in the scanning electron microscope (SEM) on sample temperature ranging from room temperature to cryogenic temperatures.
