In the present study, uniaxial compression tests were employed between 1000 and 1100 degrees C under the strain rates of 10(-3), 10(-2) and 10(-1) s(-1) to investigate the hot deformation behavior of BT9 titanium alloy. Work hardening behavior interpretation and analytical investigations including calculation of deformation activation energy, and developing process maps were used to establish a numerical correlation between microstructural evolution and the flow behavior of the alloy.
