AnnotationWe made radar extrapolation precipitation prediction for 20 summer months in the Czech Republic. All relevant
meteorological situations (in total 37526 events from 88128 potential ones) were verified using standard crtiteria like
rmse, CSI, correlation coeficient, rank's correlation coeficient and so-called decorrelation time. All 10-minuts timeslots
were characterised by parameters like part of a day, average velocity, average precipitation, weather type,
number of convective cores, intensity of rain in the cores, share of core precipitation on total precipitation, latest
CAPE values, trends in last 30 minuts and other characteristics. Special attention is paid to two case studies: June-July
2009 flash floods situation and 15.8.2010 Prague supercell event with hailstorm. All general and convective indicators
and prediction statistics were connected each to other in tables and figures.
