Kniha je životopisem Jana Husa (kol. 1370-1415) v kontextu náboženských a církevně politických konfliktů doby velkého západního schizmatu. Hus je představen jako univerzitní mistr, kazatel a veřejně činný intelektuál. Milníky jeho kariéry jsou propojeny s hlavními těžišti jeho činnosti. V pozadí každého tématu stojí otázka po příčinách Husovy popravy na koncilu v Kostnici.

This book is a biography of Jan Hus (ca. 1370-1415) in the context of religious and ecclesiastical-political conflicts at the time of the Great Western Schism. Jan Hus is presented as university master, preacher and publicly active intellectual. The milestones of his career are connected with the focal themes of his activity. In the background of every topic, there is the question of the motives of Hus's execution at the Council of Constance. It is an augmented Czech translation of the 2014 German original.
