In this contribution, the consequences of three different plasma response models on the actual 3D boundary formation and on the eventual energy and particle transport during RMP ELM control at ITER are investigated. The 3D fluid plasma and kinetic neutral transport code EMC3-Eirene is used for edge transport modeling. The plasma response modeling is conducted with the M3D-C1 code using first a single fluid, non-linear MHD model and second a two fluid, linear MHD model. This approach is compared to an ideal MHD like screening model based on resonant field damping factors obtained from the cylindrical, non linear two-fluid MHD model RMHD. The three plasma response models compared show drastically different impact on the shape of the plasma boundary. This span of modeling results of the divertor heat and particle fluxes during RMP ELM control at ITER with different plasma response models shows the importance of validating both, plasma response models and 3D edge transport codes
