Tématem příspěvku je užívání adherentně expresivního lexika v současné české publicistice, tj. lexémy, které jsou ve svém základním významu stylisticky neutrální, ale opakovaným užíváním v jiných než původně obvyklých kontextech získaly sekundární význam/y, který/é je/jsou expresivní. Analýza je založena na datech získaných z Českého národního korpusu, konkrétně ze subkorposu SYN2009PUB, obsahujícího texty z českých novin z let 1995- 2007. Detailní pozornost je věnována frekvenci a kolokabilitě sloves vyhodit, zaříznout a rozjet (se), především míře jejich expresivity v závislosti na kontextu užití a souvislosti adherentní expresivity s jinými projevy emotivní funkce.

The article deals with the usage of lexically expressive words in the contemporary Czech print media, focusing on a specific type of expressivity – so-called “adherent expressivity”, which results from a change in the meaning of generally neutral words. The adherent expressivity of a word is evident only from its usage in a given context, but unlike contextual expressivity, it becomes one of the stable meanings of the word. The analysis is based on data from SYN2009PUB, a corpus of newspapers and magazines from 1995–2007 and one of the subcorpora of The Czech National Corpus. The author enquires into the frequency and collocability of the verbs vyhodit (literally to toss up, expressively to release, to fire), zaříznout (to cut into, to slaughter - to beat, to forestall, to damage) and rozjet (to set/put sth. into motion - to start up, to launch, to institute) and rozjet se (to start, to get under way – to be launched, to go on a binge).
