    Silver-doped hydroxyapatite (HA) layers prepared by KrF laser deposition are studied. Layers of silver dopation from 0.06 at% to 13.7 at% were prepared. Antibacterial properties were tested using Escherichia coli and Bacilus subtilis cels. The antibacterial efficacy changed with silver dopation from 70 % to 99.9 %. Cytotoxicity was studied by a direct contact test. Film physical properties as morphology, composition, crystallinity, Young modulus and microhardness were measured. Films were smooth and amorphous (or polycrystalline).
