Report on the conference at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia aiming on the topic of sexualities. The contributors of the conference, from various countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia etc.) presented in their papers various points of view on the field of sexuality, from sociological, pedagogical and psychological to sexological. The quality of paper varied also, some of them lacking gender sensitivity. But mainly thank to the papers of international participants, papers from members of Slovak Academy of Sciences and colleagues form Czech Republic that questioned the biological givenness of sexuality (papers on asexuality, intersexuality and homosexual community), made the conference an interesting step, that is in Czech and Slovak science absent, towards exchanging and discussing of sexuality, or sexualities respectively through social critical or gender critical optics.
