Hatta öykülerin ve anlatıların, günümüzün medya starları haline dönüştüğü de söylenebilir. Ayrıca fen bilimlerinde ve beşeri bilimlerde de öykünün önemli bir role sahip olduğu açıktır. Bu çalışmada, fen bilimlerinde ve beşeri bilimlerde öykülerin altı temel işlevinden kısaca bahsedilecektir. Sırasıyla, anlatının fen bilimlerindeki açıklayıcı işlevleri (örnekleme işlevi, tarihsel işlev, popülerleştirme işlevi ve öğretici işlev), anlatının model oluşturma ve meşrulaştırma işlevi, anlatısal yapılandırmacılığa karşi anlatısal gerçekçilik ve sonuçlar üzerinde durulacaktır. Description in English Although "stories" have been popular since time immemorial, we can argue that stories of narratives are more reffered and used in our days. Moreover, we can easily say that stories and narrations have become media stars. In addition to this, it is evident that stories also have an important role in science and humanities. In this study, six basic functions of stories in the science and humanities will be briefly addressed. Explanatory functions of the narrative in science (the illustrative function, the historical function, the popularization function, the didactic function), the modelling and legitimization functions of the narrative, narrative realism versus narrative constructivism and conclusions will be discussed, respectively.
