Description in English The long-term research in the north-eastern area of Prague have yielded a substantial amount of archaeological evidence from various periods, including relics of the Řivnáč culture from the end of the Middle Eneolithic (ca 3100–2800 BC). The most important assemblage stems from feat. (pit-house) No. 13/76 in Prague-Dubeč, dating to the earlier phase of the Řivnáč culture. Of particular interest in its inventory is the abundant occurrence of the formally archaic heavy-tool industry. Based on the distribution and frequency of 16 recorded localities of the Řivnáč culture in the studied area and their comparison with other regions, the authors focus on the question of whether the local manufacturing activities conducted by the bearers of this culture were primarily agricultural in nature or whether they may also have been pastoral in less suitable areas.
