The effect of process parameters of the underground coal gasification (UCG) was investigated via numerical solution of the partial differential equations which describe the permeation gas transport through the porous stratum. It was found that the pressure increase influences the speed of the gas front movement more significantly than the temperature increase. The front of individual gases will move in the order hydrogen > methane > carbon dioxide and the rate of the hydrogen front movement will be approximately twice higher than the movement of carbon dioxide front at the same conditions (temperature and pressure).
