The analysis is based on the second Lyapunov method and thus construction of an invariant function (first integral) of the system. Two methods are presented and compared. Also, some comments about the physical interpretation of the Lyapunov function and the steps necessary to work in the stochastic domain are presented. Because of the type of the nonlinearity, Lyapunov function is given in the general case according to Chetayev, and mapping the region of much larger domain.
