Annotation	A new compound with formula SrCH3PO3.3H2O has been prepared, characterized by TGA, IR spectroscopy and powder XRD, and its structure has been determined from single - crystal XRD. Primary alcohols, amines, and 1,2-diols were intercalated into this host.
