AnnotationThe systematic comparison of physical interpretations of transport constitutive relations belonging to the same class of differential equations, namely, Fourier’s law, Darcy’s law, Ohm’s law and Fick’s law is given. Besides well known properties, a generalized form of Ohm’s law is newly discussed and congruence of equations describing Brownian and quantum motion is shown. This last fact is, among others, used for the explanation of enigmatic quantum-like behaviour of diffusion-controlled periodic reactions.
