Deformation behaviour of a cylindrical sample of trabecular bone was computed using high-resolution microstructural FE model and compared to experimental data captured using a custom micro-CT device. The strain in the sample during the whole experiment was assessed using a digital volume correlation method. The stress-strain curve of the experiment was assessed from the reactions calculated in the FE simulation and compared to the measured response of the sample.
