A total of twelve species of helminths were identified in these rodent populations, including Brachylaima sp. (Trematoda); Hymenolepis diminuta, Mesocestoides sp. larvae, Rodentolepis fraterna, Rodentolepis straminea, Skrjabinotaenia lobata, Taenia taeniaeformis larvae (Cestoda); Aonchotheca annulosa, Heligmosomoides polygyrus, Heterakis spumosa, Mastophorus muris and Syphacia stroma (Nematoda).
