Záměrem autora článku je zachytit fundamentální myšlenky Herakleitova díla. K tomu dochází v osmi krocích. Nejprve uvádí některé informace o Herakleitově díle, dále např. podává jeho výklad pojmů logos a fysis a závěrem shrnuje své chápání tohoto filosofa.
In what follows my intension is to trace the fundamental ideas of Heraclitus. To this end I procede in eight steps from some information on Heraclitus' work to summerizing my understanding of Heraclitus' fundamental ideas.
