Prepared materials in form of layers on steel plates were investigated by XRD, SEM, BET and BJH (Barrett-Joiner-Halenda) methods. In all cases the TiO2 powders are to different extents encapsulated in the geopolymer matrix. All studied materials, including the initial geopolymer matrix free of synthetic TiO2, exhibited photocatalytic properties.
