The paper illlustrates this by analysing three types of his projects: the restorations on the Cathedral of St Vitus and other sacred monuments; the documentation of both sacred and secular buildings slated for demolition and early drawings of medieval houses. Finally, the story of Karlstein Castle´s restoration is mentioned.
