It was found that uric acid did not have any protective effect in the cells with preexisting dysfunction and induced endothelial dysfunction per se. This effect was caused by enhancing superoxide generation by endothelial cells. Workplace Institute of Biophysics Contact Jana Poláková, polakova@ibp.cz, Tel.: 541 517 244 Year of Publishing 2010
