Prístup k sociálnej inteligencii osciluje medzi jej ponímaním ako kognitívnej schopnosti a osobnostným koncipovaním. Predpokladá sa jej uplatnenie v interpersonálnom správaní. Charakterizujeme výsledky výskumu uskutočneného v súbore žiakov ZŠ (n=220, priemerný vek 14,5 rokov). Sociálnu inteligenciu sme zisťovali pomocou dotazníka TSIS, interpersonálne črty dotazníkom IAS-R. TSIS stanovuje tri komponenty sociálnej inteligencie – spracovanie sociálnych informácií, sociálne spôsobilosti a sociálnu vnímavosť. Podľa výsledkov faktorovej analýzy boli určené štyri charakteristiky medziosobného správania, a to uzavretosť, tvrdosť, láskavosť a dominancia. Pri sledovaní vzťahu sociálnej inteligencie a interpersonálnych čŕt boli zaznamenané viaceré signifikantné výsledky. Uzavretosť negatívne koreluje s komponentami sociálnej inteligencie. Zistili sme ďalej negatívnu koreláciu tvrdosti a sociálnej vnímavosti. Na druhej strane pozitívne koreluje dominancia a láskavosť so spracovaním informácií a so sociálnymi spôsobilosťami. Výsledky teda potvrdzujú blízkosť sociálnej inteligencie k osobnosti. Vo vzťahu k rodu bolo zistené, že chlapci sú uzavretejší, tvrdší a menej láskaví v porovnaní s dievčatami. Popisované rozdiely sú štatisticky významné. V komponentoch sociálnej inteligencie dosahujú lepšie skóre dievčatá. Tieto diferencie vyplývajú zo špecifík vývinového obdobia rannej adolescencie. Description in English The paper is devoted to study of relation between social intelligence and interpersonal traits. The approaches to social intelligence oscillate between its understanding as cognitive ability and its outline as personality characteristic. It is assumed that SI has fulfillment in interpersonal behavior. It was realized the research in sample of pupils of elementary schools (n=220, mean age was 14.5 years). Social intelligence was measured by scale TSIS and interpersonal traits were measured by questionnaire IAS-R. TSIS distinguish three components of social intelligence, namely social information processing, social skills and social awareness. Factor analysis of IAS-R found out four characteristics – withdrawnness, harshness, kindness and dominance. Plenty of significant results were revealed in relations between social intelligence and interpersonal traits. Withdrawnness correlated negatively with components of social intelligence. The negative correlation was found out between harshness and social awareness. On the other hand, dominance and kindness positively correlated with social information processing and with social skills. On the whole, the findings support closeness of social intelligence and personality. Gender differences were found out too. The boys are seemed as more withdrawn, harsher and less kind in comparison with the girls. Girls reached higher scores in components of social intelligence. These differences emerge from the specifics of developmental period of early adolescence.
