AnnotationThe aim of study was to analyzed acute effects of proteinkinase C (PKC) inhibitors on the expression and subcellular localization of PKC isoforms δ and ε in normoxic and chronically hypoxic rat hearts. The results of study are in line with negative effects of PKC inhibitors on the increased ischemic tolerance of chronically hypoxic hearts and support the view that PKC plays a role in this long-term cardioprotective mechanism
