Annotation	In outdoor cultivation cascades formed by sloping planes, microalgal suspension flows in a thin layer making it possible to reach high biomass density and high volumetric and areal productivity.The aim of this work was to study cultivation conditions and unit design in order to correlate photobiochemical activity and growth. We monitored Chlorella sp. cultures of various biomass density in three-week cultivation cycles using physiological and biochemical methods
