Tento svazek je věnován problematice genetické diverzity chráněných a vzácných druhů ichtyofauny České republiky. Vedle vlastní vnitrodruhové diverzity byla věnována pozornost i rozšíření resp. upřesnění výskytu zkoumaných druhů a vymezení nejvýznamnějších vlivů, které představují reálná rizika ohrožující jejich výskyt. Prezentované výsledky byly získány při řešení výzkumného projektu VaV-SM/6/3/05 „Genetická diverzita ohrožených druhů ryb – nezbytný základ efektivní ochrany biodiverzity“. Úkol byl řešen v letech 2005–2007 na řešitelském pracovišti – Ústav biologie obratlovců AV ČR, v.v.i. a na spoluřešitelském pracovišti – Ústav živočišné fysiologie a genetiky AV ČR, v.v.i.

This volume is concerned with the problem of the genetic diversity of protected and rare fish species in the Czech Republic. Besides, attention was also paid to the distribution or more precise occurrence of the species under study as well as to the definition of the most important factors that present real risks to the distribution of fishes. The data presented here were obtained within the work on the research project VaV-SM/6/3/05, "Genetic diversity of endangered fish species: the essential basis for effective biodiversity protection". The research project was under way in 2005–2007 in the Institute of Vertebrate Biology, AV CR, v.v.i., and the co-working Institute of Animal Physiology and Genetics, AV CR, v.v.i.
