We carried out global survey of all major types of transposable elements in Silene latifolia. We found that LTR retrotransposons of gypsy type are most abundant followed by copia type while non-LTR retrotransposon of LINE and SINE types similarly as DNA transposon as less frequent. Copia retrotransposons were accumulated on the Y chromosome.

Provedli jsme systematický průzkum repetitivních sekvencí u Silene latifolia. Zjistili jsme, že převládají LTR retrotransposony typu gypsy, následované typem copia, zatímco non-LTR retrotransposony typu LINE a SINE stejně jako DNA transposony byly méně časté. Retrotransposony typu copia byly akumulovány na chromosomu Y.
