Description in English
Diffractive optics makes use of diffraction of light to design elements and systems. A diffractive structure can be computed and the pattern written using focused laser or electron beams. Phase nature of diffraction pattern is preferred. Computations involve the first and second order terms and a curvature of the substrate plate. Diffraction grooves should have a suitable transversal saw-tooth profile to obtain the highest diffraction efficiency.
