AnnotationProperties of carbon fibre composites pyrolysed in nitrogen at 600-1000řC with Toray M46 fibres and matrix derived from poly-methylphenylsiloxane-based resin were investigated. The surface layer (pyrolytic carbon 3-11ćm) was effective in reducing the weight loss and increasing the bending strength measured in vacuum at 600řC.
