AnnotationDegradation of TNT was studied in the suspension culture of .I.Saponaria officinalis./I. obtained from plants growing on TNT contaminated soil. TNT was removed from the cultivation medium in a few hours and degradation products such as trinitrobenzene (TNB), aminodinitrotoluenes (ADNT) and diaminonitrotoluenes (DANT) appeared. In the next step the degradation of these products was studied.
