Spermadhesins are a family of secretory proteins expressed in the genital tract of boar, stallion and bull. Their molecular weight is in the range 12 ů 16 kDa and some of them are N-glycosylated. These proteins play an important role in fertilization, mainly in capacitation and primary interaction of sperm and egg.
