A novel mesoporous molecular sieve was prepared whose framework is composed of anatase nanocrystals stabilized by aluminum. Whereas the powder X-ray diffractograms evidence only the anatase phase, the micro-Raman spectroscopy shows that the materials have core-shell morphology:the grains correspond to bulk anatase, which is covered by thin rutile layer at the surface. Lithium insertion electrochemistry was studied with electrodes, using F-doped SnO2 supports. A tentative structural interpret. was suggested.
