AnnotationSiting of Co(II), Zn(II) and Cu(I) ions in the cationic sites of (Al)MCM-41 matrix has been investigated employing UV-Vis-NIR diffuse reflectance absorption spectroscopy and UV-Vis emission spectroscopy.Four types of cationic sites were identified in dehydrated (Al)MCM-41.Divalent cations occupy only two of these sites, while for monovalent cations are accessible four sites. Distribution of cations among sites depends on the metal loading in molecular sieve.
