    Coherent oscillations with frequency in the range 40-120kHz has been observed in thermal plasma jet generated by a hybrid steam-argon plasma torch.The frequency and the phasevelocity of these coherent oscillations depend not only onarc current as in case of the plasma jet generated by a water stabilized plasma torch but also on an argon flow rate.
