AnnotationIn order to compare the intrinsic reactivity of the different nucleophilic sites in DNA towards SO and to evaluate the candidates for human biomonitoring we have determined the second-order tate constants and stabilities of several SC-adducts in double-stranded DNA. These include ?- and ß-isomers of N7-substituted and ?N2-substituted guanines, ?- and ßN3-substituted and ?N6-substituted adenines as well as ßN3-and ?N4-substituted cytosines.
