Role of light in plant growth regulation
Description in English
Review article dealing with the role of light in the regulation of plant growth and development. It describes the lcnowledge about the main plant photoreceptor, phytochrome: its structure, types and function. Responses of planu to irradiation of various intensities are also discussed. Blue light receptor and UV light receptors are shortly mentioned. Further, photomorphogenesis, specially with regard to situa6on in natural habitats is dealt with. Special chapter is devoted to deetiolation.
