Piotrowski's concept of the "framing" of the given artist's context. The examples of Jan Autengruber (1887 - 1920) and Josef Lada (1887 - 1957) show the necessity of a case-by-case approach and of a search for flexible "frameworks". The contemporary Czech art is represented by Antonín Střížek with a tendency towards the nostalgia of the past.
