AnnotationIn an effort to describe the kinetics of acid decomposition of sheet clay structures leaching experiments are realised with the aim to find standard relations to pH, temperature and ionic strength of the solution. Understanding the effect of physical **erties of solid phase should explain the differences of aluminium mobility in acidified systems; as the main application field in geochemistry the interactions of acid waters with clay-rich soils and sediments are studied.
