Annotation
The article discusses the modalities of Ottoman foreign politics in Central Europe and its role in the Austrian politics at the end of the Thirty Years' War, and particularly in the crucial Yearsn 1644-45 when the Hapsburgs faced a double danger from both Sweden and Transylvania, the latter being supported by the Ottomans.
