AnnotationPhenol is present in the wastewaters of numerous industries including those from the oil refining, petrochemical, coal coking and coal gasification. The degradation proceeded in packed bed reactors, as a packing material for a cell immobilisation were used: coco-fibres, polyurethane foam particles, porous glass balls and expanded slate. The best performance parameters were achieved with porous glass balls.
