AnnotationWe explored mean repetition frequency of filamentary streamers for the hollow needle to plate DC electrical discharge with the nitrogen flow through the needle. The frequency was determined by analyzing time-resolved discharge voltage and current waveforms together with emission intensity profiles induced by streamers. For the distance between the tip of the needle and the surface of the plate electrode between 2-6 mm and nitrogen flow ranging between 1-10 slm respectively, the streamers mean repetition frequency varies between 0.1-15 kHz.
