Anselm z Canterbury (1033–1109) je jednou z nejvýraznějších osobností intelektuálního světa konce 11. století, za což si vysloužil vznosné označení Otec scholastiky. V této publikaci vychází vůbec poprvé český překlad jeho dialogu “De grammatico”, který on sám označil za úvod do dialektiky. Edici předchází rozsáhlejší úvodní studie, v níž je stručně představen autor spisu i přeložené dílo, přičemž podrobněji jsou probrána vybraná témata, jimž Anselm ve svém nedlouhém díle věnoval pozornost.

Anselm of Canterbury (1033-1109) is one of the most famous persons of the intellectual world at the end of 11th century, due to it he is often called as the Father of Scholastic. In this publication the first Czech translation of his dialogue “De grammatico” is published. The dialogue was characterized by Anselm himself as an introduction to dialectics. The Anselm’s text is preceded by a larger introductory study, briefly introduces the author of the work and also the translated dialogue, and discusses in more detail selected topics to which Anselm has paid attention in his relatively brief work.
