V tomto příspěvku zaměřím pozornost na případy negace větné (syntaktické), spočívající v popření platnosti slovesa v přísudkové pozici, a tím celé věty, a negace lexikální – prefixaci substantiv, adjektiv a adverbií, popř. dalších slovních druhů. Všechny příklady jsou vybrány ze synchronních korpusů SYN2010, SYN2015, popř. SYN. Alomorf ne-/ni- má v češtině zdánlivě jedinou funkci – vyjadřovat negaci, popírat význam základového slova. Ne vždy však vyjadřuje úplnou negaci, resp. v některých případech ji nevyjadřuje vůbec. Negované slovo je funkčně blízké afirmativu, tedy slovu s platností kladného tvrzení.

In this paper I will focus on the cases of the negation of a sentence (syntax) which consists in the denial of the validity of a verb in predicative position, and thus the whole sentences, and the negation lexical - prefixation of nouns, adjectives and adverbs or other parts of speech. All examples come from the synchronous corpora SYN2010, SYN2015, respectively SYN. Allomorph not/never does have in Czech seemingly one function only – to express a negation, to deny the importance of the base word. Not always, however, does it express a total negation, in some cases it does not express it at all. Negative word is from the point of view of this functionally close to affirmative one, i.e. the word with the validity of positive assertion.
