The article presents the concept of the planned The Dictionary of the Belarusian Dialects in Latvia. The material basis will be the records collected by the author during the dialectological expedition in 2004-2018 (ca. 300 hours of interviews). The dictionary will cover geographically the whole area of functioning of modern Belarusian subdialects in Latvia (five regions: Zilupes, Dagdas, Krāslavas, Daugavpils and Ilūkstes districts). Because of the intensive language processes, mainly Russification, the dictionary will include all the vocabulary - the Belarusian dialectal lexicon, as well as borrowings from the Russian language, the Baltic languages (old Baltic loanwords, words of Latvian origin), polonisms, etc.
