Cieľom článku je doplniť kognitívny výklad vizuálneho myslenia v matematike o lingvistický a inštrumentálny rozmer. Obrázky majú v matematických textoch sémantický význam, pre pochopenie ktorého majú zásadný význam lingvistické konvencie.
The aim of the paper is to complement the cognitive interpretation of visual thought in mathematics with the linguistic and instrumental dimension. Pictures in mathematical texts have a semiotic dimension, in the interpretation of which a set of conventions plays a significant role.
